CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: July 19, 2002 Week: 77 Tom Folkers: Tom Sargent: 1. Fixed a number of small bugs found in the last run at the SMT. Made changes to tracker to make it ignore commands to go to positions which are out of bounds (EL < 0 or > 90). Since sun avoidance can now be manually disabled, I made the checkSunProximity() function log a message every 10 minutes if the sun avoidance is disabled. 2. Added a flag ('wrapInhibit') to force servo to not use the wrap, that is, to stay always within AZ = 0 to 360. (necessary for the reset-encoders command.) I still haven't made it possible for the operator to force it into one wrap or the other. 3. Put a log_open() call in the servo initialization. Calls to log_msg() are starting to appear at many places in the servo program. Still need to make it respond to a 'purge log' command. 4. Added many new variables to tstable so that information about servo's operation is available to servo_control. 5. Altered servo to be able to accept commands from the keyboard and from sockets simultaneously. 6. Made a simplification to the simulator code to make it derive it's interrupt timing from the encoder A/D's even though it doesn't use the data from the A/D's in that case. This keeps it in better sync with the servo program in the host since they then use the same clock source. 7. I learned that the DSP simulator crashes seem always to be associated with a "send corrections" command which asks the DSP to send the correction factors (offsets, amplitudes, phases) for each encoder. That corrections report is the longest one. It needs to be changed to report on only one encoder at a time instead of all 3. Pete Hubbard: David Forbes:
