CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: February 01, 2002 Week: 53 Tom Folkers: 1. No Report. Tom Sargent: 1. Out sick on Monday 2. I wanted a 3-d plotting program to view the sun avoidance path calculations to see if they do actually avoid the sun. Since it seemed likely we would be using GTK+ for various user interfaces, I studied it for a couple of days and got a couple simple examples to run. I then wrote a 3-d plotter program. It draws wire-frame type models in 3-d perspective in an X window. This is now working. A small addition to it will make it draw stereo pairs. I now need to code the sun avoidance geometry that I worked out last week and then use the 3-d program to show the solar zone-of-avoidance and the paths which the program picks to go around it. Pete Hubbard: 1. Comparing data sheets PMI REF43 and MAX 6325 Voltage Reference chips. The Maxim has much better temperature coefficient and lower noise. This will provide the +2.5 volts, and an inverting amplifier like the OP77 can provide -2.5 Volts. I also looked at using a INA105 amplifier that has matched resistors inside the chip, but it can only drive 300Pf loads. With amplifier bypass caps of .01uF they may not work properly. 2. Robert E. looked for spare connectors that will be needed for amp boards and did not fine any at SMT or the lab. Dave Ashby: 1. No Report.
