CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: September 07, 2001 Week: 32 Tom Folkers: 1. Spent week at SMTO site replacing UPS batteries. 2. Checking out the various connectors take go from the Krupp rack to the Ant. create. 3. With the help of Robert, was able to locate an extra bundle of coax cable in which to route the azimuth encoder signals through the cable wrap to the new control computer. Tom Sargent: 1. Compiled and tested the new error message logic which servo uses to report on a few dozen different error conditions that are sensed from the parallel input ports. 2. Altered the Makefile in the tracker directory so that it now compiles the servo.c program. Servo has, up to this point, had it's own makefile. 3. Manually Checked all the parallel port inputs for elevation to make sure that those status bits which indicate conditions that require stopping the telescope are sensed correctly. 4. Manually checked over the encoder reset logic. It hasn't actually been tested in the lab because the test set-up makes it hard to simulate this. I added more status print outs to the state driven logic in these routines so that when we test it at the telescope, it will be easier to figure out what state it is in. Also added a "reset-encoder-abort" command to allow aborting the reset-encoder process. 5. Wrote more documentation for both servo.c and the DSP software. Pete Hubbard: 1. Making cables for SMT tracker interface to Krupp rack electronics. 2. Installed Krupp rack simulator for testing software. 3. Finished updating documentation and drawings of Tracker chassis and DBE chassis. 4. Collecting connectors, wire and MPI 6000 amplifier boards for trip to the SMT. Dave Ashby: 1. No Report.
