CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: March 23, 2001 Week: 8 Tom Folkers: 1. More work setting up the development room. 2. Continued investigating the interface requirements for the Krupp Rack. 3. Spent a day at the site mapping out locations for the new chassis. Also verifying wiring and connector types for interfacing existing systems to new. 4. Began assembling the various chassis for system interfacing. Tom Sargent: 1. The IRIG driver is probably done. It could use a little testing in a multi-processor situation, but it looks ok. 2. Got sources for drivers for the A/D, D/A and parallel ports from the Linux Lab Project in Germany. 3. I modified the Linux driver for the DIO48 card and got it working. I then made several changes in it to allow multiple programs to open the parallel port devices simultaneously. It compiles now, but needs to be tested. It should be working on Monday. Pete Hubbard: 1. Continuing with Krupp rack interface with Robert. Verified MPI 5312 24 bit input module connector type. 2. Built LED test lamp box for checking I/O computer boards. 3. Started assembling rack mounted interface boxes.
