CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: June 08, 2001 Week: 19 Tom Folkers: 1. Installed the latest release of RT-Linux-3.1 in the DBE and reran my tests to confirm the stability of the internal system clock. I'm happy to report that every thing looks good. I am getting timing resolutions in the range of ±150µsecs. 2. Produced drawings for the DBE counter and timing boards and gave them to Pete. 3. Spent rest of time working on the pending move to the basement. Tom Sargent: 1. Verified that the ellipse fitter in the DSP tracker program is working. 2. Got floating point conversion routines working that convert floating print numbers from the DSP format to the IEEE format used by Linux. This allows sending floating point data from the DSP to the Linux host. 3. Verified the rest of the commands from the Linux host to the DSP chip. 4. Made sure that the DSP program will periodically transmit something even if the flow of data from the encoders stops. 5. Started trying to read the Traquair A/D units using their demo program. No success yet. Pete Hubbard: 1. Build DBE system timer interface board. 2. Mounted MPI 6000 amplifier board in card cage. 3. Started board layout for VCO multiplexer chassis. Dave Ashby: 1. No Report.
