CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: July 13, 2001 Week: 24 Tom Folkers: 1. Began the arduous task of converting the core 'high-level' language programs that make up the 'tracker/servo' system to Linux. The following programs are, to the first order, working: tscom, respond & tracker. 2. Spent the rest of week converting and compiling the control system higher level programs. 3. Most of the core control system programs are ready: rambo, monitor, status, alarmpanel, the sound daemon, etc. 4. I seem to be stuck on the exec task. There is a difference between the Solaris version of lex and the Linux version that keeps it from running. I have a call into Jeff Hagen asking for help. Tom Sargent: 1. Fixed a bug in the azimuth raw data recording software. 2. Changed and debugged the reference pulse detection logic so it now reports all reference pulse detections regardless of whether it was armed to change the cycle count or not. 3. Moved the Linux host program that communicates with the T.I. DSP to the SMT tracker/ directory and made it compile there. Also changed its name to "servo". 4. A number of additions have been made to servo. It is now interfacing to some of the other control programs through the global shared memory. It has been altered to update the UT and LST time displays as well as the date and the commanded and actual telescope positions. Some other minor refinements were made. 5. Fixed a bug in the IRIG driver. Pete Hubbard: 1. Counter interface box add ferrules to wiring that were on back order from Allied electronics. 2. Design line receivers that convert signals from VCO box that feed DRUMBEAT to enable mux board with unipolar inputs to operate with differential input signals. 3. Start wiring Mux board and making a list of needed parts. Dave Ashby: 1. No Report.
