CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: February 9, 2001 Week: 2 Tom Folkers: 1. Unfortunately, the 12 Meter occupied a too much of my time this week. 2. Continued pricing out and getting quotes for the computer hardware. 3. Writing up cost analysis report for PAS. Tom Sargent: 1. Studied the TI 320 manual. I got about 80% of the way through it. 2. Studied the TI development tools. About finished with this until I actually get a TI computer and a copy of VmWare to run the cross compiler. 3. Studied Johann Schraml's software. I need to do a lot more of this. 4. Looked into alternate numerical methods for deriving the correction coefficients from the raw encoder data. I am doing a some test code along these lines. 5. Looked for some ISA based equivalents to the PC-104 TI processor card. Pete Hubbard: 1. Reviewing MPI model 6000, 61000, 6400 boards used at the SMT for encoder signal processing. 2. Trip to SMT to measure amplitude and frequency of encoder signals at the amplifier box. 3. Received quotation from Traquair.
