CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: August 31, 2001 Week: 31 Tom Folkers: 1. Other issues keep me busy all week. Tom Sargent: 1. Wrote logic to read the parallel I/O inputs to check for error conditions. I wrote code to drive the parallel I/O outputs to control the Krupp rack. The parallel input ports are jumpered to simulate the inputs from the Krupp rack. Diagnostic print commands allow dumping the state of the inputs and outputs and flags those conditions that prevent the drive from operating. 2. New state-driven drive logic was added to allow the servo program to sequence through a start-up of the Krupp rack, being tolerant of relay timing delays. It also continuously monitors for operator input and for any error conditions that might appear on the inputs from the Krupp rack (limit switches, servo failure, etc.). This appears to work. When the system is driving, manually causing an error condition bit to go active, causes it to ramp that axis down to 0 speed. When the error condition goes away, servo resumes driving and catches up to the object being tracked. 3. New message output code logs messages to Monitor to record when the drive starts or stops and, if it stopped, what signals caused it to stop. Pete Hubbard: 1. Finish KRUPP rack simulator for testing software. 2. Starting on documentation and drawing update for Tracker interface chassis, DBE counter interface chassis, and Tracker Traquair interface chassis. Dave Ashby: 1. No Report.
