CAMAC Progress Report Week Ending: April 13, 2001 Week: 11 Tom Folkers: 1. Worked with Tom Sargent on xntpd drivers and time in general. 2. Some work building interface chassis, 3. Ordering more rack mounted chassis and interface hardware. 4. Checked out tracker interface relays that arrived. They sent us the wrong type, so I sent them back and convinced them to send us the correct ones. 5. Began assembly of the drumbeat replacement, smtdbe. Tom Sargent: 1. Got the xntpd server running with the IRIG clock interface as a stratum 0 clock. Also got it to load the IRIG clock driver and start-up the xntp server automatically when the system loads. 2. Made a Linux driver for the DDA06, 6 channel 12-bit D/A converter. 3. Worked on getting the rest of the SMT I/O drivers to load automatically when the system starts and to put the control interfaces into "safe" configurations when the system is started or shutdown. I think I am finished with these driver start-up operations. Pete Hubbard: 1. Working on amp boards new ref output amplifier layout. 2. Mounting interface cards in new chassis box. 3. Helping Anson with surface mount circuit boards parts identification and construction. 4. Looking at wiring types for connecting interface cards.
