Submitted by: Tatsuhiko Hasegawa

Date: Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 08:10:31

Program:

AS-H4

Telescope:

KP12m

Receiver:

3mmHigh

DateOfRun:

2005/12/4-6

phone:

+886-2-3365-2200 ex 722

Manuals:

Generally good. But the old KP12m manual (2000 Jan) has a confusing description about details of frequency switching. Mike explained me this time how the operator sets up the frequency offsets.

Equipment:

UniPOPS crashed when I used BASELINE.

Support:

Very good. TO (kjt) called the PI over the phone and explained the difficult situation (of receiver tuning).

Objectives:

50 percent accomplished, more than I had planned. CN(1-0) detections at 24 positions in six dark clouds. Tr* tends to be highest at the (0,0) position. The tendency is similar to N2H+ and NH3. Requested time: 28 hours. Actually scheduled time: 30 hours. Lost to poor weather: 0. Lost to equipment trouble: 7.5 hours. [Tuning trouble at 113.491 GHz (3mm High). ]

Problems:

N.A

Resolved:

N.A.

Suggestions:

I looked for entries for 'hours lost to weather' and 'hours lost to faults' , but did not find.

Others:

kuan{at}asiaa{dot}sinica{dot}edu{dot}tw (Dr. Yi-Jehng Kuan, ASIAA telescope time allocation  committee chair and coordinator for ARO time [KP12m and MtG10m]).
