The ADC module has allows to read 32 channels; the name of the ADC is AC_AZ1_ADC There are two 50 pin connectors, each connect 16 channels. In the rear of the camac crate the 16 channels of each Camac module front connector are seperated into two 8 bit plugs; this seperation is used for a logical grouping: The 16 channels of the upper connector are read with function F(0). Rear connector 7B1 (channels 1 to 8) A(00) Inclinometer #1 (Applied Geomechanics; left-right) A(01) Inclinometer Temperature Sensor (#1 & #3) A(02) Inclinometer #2 (Schaevitz; left-right) A(03) Inclinometer #3 (Applied Geomechanics; front-back) A(04) Inclinometer #4 (Schaevitz; front-back) A(05) spare A(06) spare A(07) spare Rear connector 7B2 (channels 1 to 8): A(08) Coarse readout azimuth A(09) Coarse readout elevation A(10) LVDT (distance house-antenna (1 to 5 volts)) A(11) spare A(12) spare A(13) spare A(14) spare A(15) spare (The "spares" above may be connected to something in the Krupp rack? The 7B2 connector is fully wired up.) The 16 channels of the lower connector are read with function F(1). Rear connector 7A1 (channels 1 to 8): A(00) Motor current elevation 1 A(01) Motor current elevation 2 A(02) Motor current elevation 3 A(03) Motor current elevation 4 A(04) Motor current azimuth 1 A(05) Motor current azimuth 2 A(06) Sum of tachometers in elevation (actual El rate) A(07) Sum of tachometers in azimuth (actual Az rate) Rear connector 7A2 (channels 1 to 8): A(08) Chopper position sensor A(09) spare A(10) spare A(11) spare A(12) spare A(13) spare A(14) spare A(15) spare Connector 7A2 (a DB 25) only had 2 wires hooked up (on Nov 6, 2001): 1 & 14. Ohming out the 7A2 connector to the connector on the front of the ADC card 1 & 14 connect to 9 (hi) and 28 (lo) at the ADC as expected. 2 & 15 connect to 10 & 29, and 3 & 16 connect to 11 & 30. (Presumably, the sequence continues to 8 & 21.) Some of these spares will be wired to monitor the building drive signals.
