12 Meter Telescope - Receiver Information

The following table contains information about the frequency coverage, average receiver temperatures, and availability for the 12 Meter Telescope receivers. Note that the near the band edges mixer performance may be degraded.

12 Meter Telescope Receiver Information

Receiver Frequency Range (GHz) Trx (K) Availability
*ALMA Type Band 3 83 - 116 GHz 40-60 (SSB) Always

* New 3 mm (ALMA Band 3) Receiver:

The sideband-separating mixers for this system have been provided by the Herzberg Institute for Astrophysics (HIA). This receiver was put on the 12 m in May 2008. System temperatures on the sky were typically less than 200 K, SSB, in 5-8 mm of water vapor. Image rejection was typically 20 dB. This receiver showed exceptional stability, and excellent data was obtained. This receiver replaced the 3 mm HI.
